Manila or synthetic rope used for top rails or midrails are inspected as necessary to ensure that the rope continues to meet the strength requirements in paragraphs b 3 and 5 of this section. All mesh crossings shall be secured to prevent enlargement of the mesh opening. 1910 29 b 1 the top edge height of top rails or equivalent guardrail system members are 42 inches 107 cm plus or minus 3 inches 8 cm above the walking working surface. 1926 502 c 7 the maximum size of each safety net mesh opening shall not exceed 36 square inches 230 cm nor be longer than 6 inches 15 cm on any side and the opening measured center to center of mesh ropes or webbing shall not be longer than 6 inches 15 cm.

1910 29 b 3 osha requires that guardrail systems must be able to withstand a force of at least 200 lbs of point load without failure. Keeguard roof railing exceeds this requirement and has the testing documents to prove it. Osha requires that workers exposed to a fall hazard must have fall protection. Industry standard says that protection must be in place for anyone working within 15 feet of the roof edge.

The warning line system shall consist of ropes wires or chains and supporting stanchions 29 cfr 1926 502 f 2. Or on roofs 50 feet 15 25 m or less in width the use of a safety monitoring system alone is permitted 29 cfr 1926 501 b 10.
