If you need a fairing for the stock roof rack inno racks has one that will fit. I called thule twice the first time they said the 872xt will fit the oem vw roof rack then when i called again they said they make no fairing that will fit the oem roof rack. Picked up an oem roof rack and a yakima fairing for my 2017 gli. This is the best way i ve found of installing a thule fairing onto an oem vw roof rack.

To my surprise the oem racks are made from a thule design and probably by thule i would assume but no fairing option that was through thule or oem available for my set up.
